Why did you choose to stay connected to U of G (as alumni)?

During my time as a student the University played such a critical role in my personal growth and development. During my time at the University I love my time on campus so much that I was looking for ways to stay connected and engaged. The UGAA was a great avenue where I could stay connected, visit campus, volunteer my time and have impact. I have really enjoyed staying connected and seeing initiatives come to life, attend events in person and connect with fellow Alumni.

What makes you most proud to be a Gryphon?

The University has a very strong community minded base; there is a strong connection between students, faculty and the general community. It is great to see the city shine through this strong connection. Anytime I personally run into a UofG grad I find everyone immediately remembers all of the positive experiences they had on campus; it shows that we are all connected through this foundation. Guelph continues to be strong in its history but growth oriented to support the future. We are lucky to see and celebrate the history of the past but celebrate developments into the future including things such as The Lang School of Business, the new Athletics Complex and the Arrell Food Institute. It is clear the University has a bright future.
