Dr. Jamie Gruman is a Full Professor and Senior Research Fellow in the Lang School of Business and Economics at the University of Guelph. He is also the Founding Chair of the Canadian Positive Psychology Association, an organization whose mandate is to improve people’s lives by teaching them about the science of the good life. Dr. Gruman is an award-winning researcher. His academic papers have appeared in some of the world’s top-ranked business journals and he is lead editor of the market-leading textbook on Applied Social Psychology. His latest book is called Boost: The Science of Recharging Yourself in an Age of Unrelenting Demands. His research and writing have been reported by media outlets around the globe. He has appeared online and in print in magazines such as Forbes, Time, Oprah, Fast Company, and Inc., news outlets such as the New York Times, the BBC, and NBC News, and his work has been profiled by the World Economic Forum. He also writes a regular blog for Psychology Today. In addition to speaking at numerous conferences, including those of the Conference Board of Canada, and TEDx, Dr. Gruman has consulted and delivered seminars for Fortune 500 corporations, public, and not-for-profit organizations including General Motors, Departments and Agencies of the Government of Canada, and the Children’s Wish Foundation.
