Reach New Heights with the UGAA-Funded Rock Wall Centre!

Did you know that in addition to state-of-the-art fitness and athletics facilities, the new University of Guelph Athletics Centre boasts a rock climbing wall funded by alumni?

The University of Guelph Climbing Club (UGCC) is open to climbing enthusiasts and newbies alike. If you've never climbed before or if you've been climbing for years, there is something for you. Staff can teach you everything you need to know to climb safely and well. The wall is 40 feet tall and boasts up to 17 different routes.

Future climbers are welcomed through the new Kids Rock Climbing camp. The camp program focuses on teamwork, safety, proper equipment, climbing technique, flexibility, strength and most importantly, injury prevention. More information on kids climbing camps!

UGAA Flips For College Royal

The 2017 College Royal committee opened the doors of U of G to the community on March 18-19 for the largest “Open House” of its kind in North America. Open House Weekend is a free event that gives visitors the opportunity to explore the university campus and learn more about the innovative and cool efforts of our professors and students.

This year’s College Royal welcomed tens of thousands of visitors over two days, with events including campus tours, Old MacDonald’s New Farm in the Dairy Barn, Ice Cream Making, the Chem/Bio Magic show, the Dog and Cat shows, and many more!

The ever-popular UGAA Pancake Breakfast fuelled visitors with pancakes made by UGAA Board members and served with #gryphonpride. Board Members also showed off their pancake flipping savvy (or lack thereof for the Happy Flippers team!) before sending the crowd off to explore the University of Guelph campus.
