UGAA Message - November 2016

Roberta Bondar, Tim Bray, Cassie Campbell, Scott McGillivray, Liz Sandals…If you recognize just one of these names then you will also recognize University of Guelph excellence. Each one of these accomplished individuals are Guelph alumni and we are proud of our shared history. We also know there are thousands of other alumni around the world that deserve our recognition.

Each year the UGAA holds an Awards of Excellence to celebrate the achievements, volunteerism and service of our alumni. We are currently accepting nominations and are excited to put out a call to each of you. If you know a fellow Guelph grad who fits one of the following descriptions please take the time to nominate them.

The Alumnus/a of Honour award recognizes the achievements of alumni who have brought great honour to their alma mater through professional, community and/or personal endeavours.

The Alumni Medal of Achievement recognizes a graduate of the last 15 years, who has achieved excellence through contributions to country, community, profession or the world of arts and letters.

The Alumni Volunteer Award honours alumni who have demonstrated loyalty and commitment to their alma mater by supporting the University of Guelph through their volunteer work.

Award recipients will be celebrated in high style at our Awards of Excellence in June 2017 at Alumni Weekend. Watch the highlight reel from last year's event and see why University of Guelph alumni excel!
