Why did you choose to stay connected to U of G (as alumni)?

I chose to stay connected as an alumni because I wanted to give back to the school that provided me with incredible experiences, an awesome education, and opportunities to grow and develop. I have so many fond memories of my undergrad at Guelph and truly believe that my time here set me up for success across many areas of my life. I hope that the work that we do on the UGA Board will help current students and alumni in the same way that Guelph positively impacted me #ForeverAGryphon

What makes you most proud to be a Gryphon?

There are so many U of G accomplishments every single year that make me proud to be an alumni of a school that is leading the agenda on sustainability, agriculture, business, research, and so much more. Despite all of these incredible accolades, I am most proud of the unique community and culture that U of G possesses, where the focus is on teamwork, collaboration, inclusivity, and winning together. Everyone who joins U of G is welcomed and brought into the fold of a very special community that I am so proud to be a part of.

What's your favourite part of being on the UGA board?

? My favourite part of being on the UGA board is seeing the ways that we impact current students and alumni through our events, donations, and volunteering through the incredible partnership and work with the AA&D team. Whether the impact is expansive or small, it's incredible to see the responses and engagement from young students to older alumni and their personal connection to U of G.

What’s your favourite Guelph tradition?

Eating a Bob's Dog is definitely my favourite tradition- U of G is second to none when it comes to on campus food!
