#GryphonGifts is a brand new initiative to U of G, one that helps ease the stress of exams for students studying on campus!
April 11, 12, 16 and 17, U of G students were invited to make a food or drink request through @UofGAlumni's Instagram account. Staff and faculty volunteers then granted these wishes by delivering these exact items to the students ANYWHERE on campus! Requests ranged from coffee and tea, to full meals! Each request was delivered with a mental wellness resource magnet - giving students information on where to go and who to talk to if they need support during this stressful time. Over the first two days, the program had already received over 200 requests!
This initiative was made possible by grants from the Gryphons Care donor group, Interhall Council and the Mental Health and Well-Being Fund.
This initiative is catching the eyes of the local press. Read the Guelph Today article here!
