U of G Grove Hub a one-stop shop for youth mental health and wellness

Posted: Nov 04, 2021

Did you know that starting this January the University of Guelph will be one of the first universities in Canada to have a community youth mental heath hub on our campus? It’s true. The University of Guelph will be home to one of seven hubs located across Guelph and Wellington county.

What does this mean?

The Grove Hubs are a one-stop shop for youth mental health and wellness. The partnership is a collaboration of more than 30 partners across our community. It is a true community and campus partnership.

And U of G Students Can Access The Other Hubs?

Yes, the Hubs are designed to have a one-door policy open to all youth aged 12-26.

And Non-UofG Students Can Come To The U of G Hub?

Yes, the U of G hub will have a specialization in substance use, with on-campus counsellors supporting youth in this area.  That is available to both UofG and non-UofG youth. Further services involving physical fitness, peer mentoring and career counselling will be coming online over the next year.

Where Is The Hub Located?

The Hub is in the newly constructed Maplewoods Centre For Family Therapy and College Psychology at the corner of College Ave and Smith Lane.

How Can I Help?

The Hub system is primarily donor-funded, we would ask you to consider making a gift today to support the U of G Grove Hub.
