Computer Science Highest Priority

Since 1971, the School of Computer Science has been preparing undergraduate and graduate students to develop and use technology in innovative ways - and you are an important part of our almost 50-year history. With more than 3,000 graduates (and counting), our alumni continue to Improve Life around the world. Earlier this year, we opened the doors to our newly renovated home in the Reynolds Building to celebrate the outstanding achievements of our alumni. It was a time to catch up with old friends, and to celebrate our successes. Most importantly, it was a time to reflect on where we have been, where we are now, and where we want to go. And the future of the School of Computer Science is extremely exciting. This fall we launch the new Masters in Cybersecurity and Threat Intelligence Program.

Through the generosity of our alumni and friends, we have been able to make a difference in the lives of our students and institution. The School of Computer Science is a top choice for many undergraduate and graduate students, and the demand continues to grow. While much has changed since the School was established in 1971, our core focus remains the same: to develop in our students strong technical and analytical skills using hands-on experience in leading edge technology.

To help continue our legacy of student success, we have launched the School of Computer Science Fund Campaign. The goal of this campaign is to support undergraduate and graduate success through the creation of new entrance and in-course scholarships, conference travel grants, and experiential learning opportunities beyond the classroom. This includes funding to support student attendance at CS-Games, the Canadian University Software Engineering Conference, the Canadian Celebration of Women in Computing Conference, and the Grace Hopper Conference (to name a few), and to support the School’s Society of Computing and Information Sciences. Our graduates are in high demand, and this funding will ensure that our future alumni are positioned as leaders in the field.

Your gifts make an impact. Please consider a gift to the School of Computer Science Highest Priority, where we can offer students the opportunity for transformational learning outside of the classroom to help develop our future industry leaders.
