Staff and Faculty Giving

At the University of Guelph, we strive to improve life with everything that we do. We have built our culture around the pursuit of improving life, which is a crucial part of who we are as a community. Staff and faulty are essential members of this U of G community, their donations inspire others outside of the university and make a direct impact on our campus and to our students. We are grateful to have faculty and staff who believe in the University and its vibrant future.

Staff and Faculty Donor Testimonials

As a new U of G employee, I first heard about the importance of philanthropy on campus at NEW days. I wanted to give to the University of Guelph because I believe strongly in the role of universities but also in appreciation of an institution where I feel privileged to work. On my first day at the U of G, I supported an event at the Arboretum, and fell in love with the space, so it just made sense to direct my donation there

Sarah Willey-Thomas , Associate University Secretary

I established the Gryphon Track and Field Scholarship in memory of my long-time colleague, friend and running partner Wade Montminy. I hope to support a hard-working student athlete pursue their passion in U of G's nationally renowned program

Professor Istvan Rajcan , Professor & Associate Graduate Coordinator

Being a donor to the Gryphons Care initiative has given me a window into the incredible creativity and diversity of staff and students at the University of Guelph.  It has been a privilege to be able to work with other generous donors to help bring a few of their wonderful ideas to life.

Dr. Matthew Demers, Assistant Professor of Department of Mathematics + Statistics

I give because I consider myself incredibly lucky to have the career I do and to work with my wonderful colleagues. I want to support initiatives that help others have the same good fortune and so I give to our graduate program through student scholarships.

Professor Evie Adomait, Assistant Professor of Economics and Faculty Advisor

I believe in education and I love what I do. When we talk about improving our communities, understanding one another – we’re talking about education. The students here inspire me. My donation to establish the Nadia Singh Ghanny Bursary is about investing in them.

Professor Nadia Ghanny, Justice and Public Safety Program, University of Guelph-Humber
