A 2016 graduate of the University of Guelph's History program, Erin Fetterly is an author, historian, and PhD candidate at Birkbeck, University of London whose work shines a light on the overlooked stories of women throughout history. Inspired by her studies and international exchange experience at Guelph, Erin pursued advanced historical research in the United Kingdom, earning a master's degree and continuing doctoral studies focused on women's history, their knowledge and writing. In 2024, she published her first book, Women Who Kill: A History of Britain's Most Dangerous Women, which earned the 2025 Reader's Choice Book of the Year at the True Crime Awards. Through her scholarship, writing, and public engagement, Erin is making history more accessible while amplifying women's voices and contributions across generations, sharing these stories through her online historical storytelling work and on Instagram as @thecanadianlondoner. Her new website efetterlyhistory.com and freelance transcription business both launched in August, as she continues towards her goal of becoming a full time historian and writer.
