Giving Tuesday: Thank You for Your Support

Our heartfelt appreciation goes out to the Margaret and Kenneth Torrance Family Fund for their $5,000-match gift to Nokom’s House. In addition,  the Syer-Torrance family supports multiple endowed awards at U of G. Margaret says, “education was life-changing for me and my husband, and we’re giving back to ensure continuing educational opportunities for University of Guelph students."

We also extend our gratitude to alumni Bruce Waddell, B.Sc. (Agr.) ’76, and Carolyn Waddell, BA ’75, who generously matched $6,000 toward the University's Highest Priority fund. Bruce and Carolyn met at the U of G in the 1970s and said their experience was so enriching that they started giving back what they could after graduation to help young students experience the same kind of opportunities they had.

A special thank you to the UGAA for doubling the impact by matching funds up to $10,000 for the U of G Student Assistance Fund. All U of G graduates are members of the UGAA and are eligible for many great services and benefits, networking events and lifelong learning opportunities. The UGAA is governed by a 10-member volunteer board that represents the voices of U of G alumni.
