Dr. Sabrina Rondeau, BA '11, PhD ’20
Dr. Sabrina Rondeau has received the prestigious 2023 Canadian Association for Graduate Studies (CAGS)-ProQuest Distinguished Dissertation Award in the Engineering, Medical Sciences, and Natural Sciences category. The award recognizes Canadian doctoral dissertations that make unusually significant and original contributions to the academic community and Canadian society at large. Read more

Shela Kwong is the co-founder of an innovative Canadian gourmet meal kit company called SPATULA Foods. Shela and her team were recently featured on Dragons Den where they receieved offers from all five dragons and after negotiation made a deal with Arlene Dickinson. Read more

Colleen O'Toole, has dedicated her career to supporting Indigenous communities in sustainable land development and revitalization of traditional practices, such as clam gardens, through her work at Kerr Wood Leidal Associates Limited. Read more
Dr. Patricia Shewen, B.Sc ’71, DVM ’75, M.Sc ’79, PhD ’82
Dr. Patricia E. Shewen, a trailblazer in veterinary medicine, significantly advanced cattle wellness and the beef industry through her development of a pivotal vaccine, alongside a distinguished career in research, teaching, and administration at U of G and beyond, earning her numerous accolades and recognition. Dr. Shewen was the recipient of our 2023 Alumni of Honour award. Read more

Chantal Khoury won the prestigious $65,000 Joe Plaskett postgraduate award in painting, a national accolade awarded to an outstanding, emerging Canadian painter. Read more
Michelle Dueckman, MFA '21
Michelle Dueckman has forged a successful career in public health, focusing on knowledge translation for fall prevention at Parachute, and supports future generations at U of G through the Alumni Engagement Centre Scholarship, reflecting her commitment to community and the positive impact of giving back.
